Image Resizing + Shift Key = Goodness
Image Resizing – Shift Key = Badness
Okay, lemme just confess one of my biggest pet peeves. I’m sure some of you may agree with me on this one: distorted images! Yes, we can tell if your picture has been stretched. For real man. It is looking too fat or too skinny or it’s just looking off an we can’t tell why. Well, I can tell you why. Lack of the use of this wonderful tool at your fingertips: The Shift Key.
When you make a picture, a logo, any image bigger or small in just about any software program known to man, you can hold down The Shift Key while resizing and the image proportions will be intact. This ONLY works when you’re resizing from a corner of the image. Please see the sample below if you need a visual. 🙂
1. Too high!
2. Too wide!
3. Just right. Ahh. Doesn’t that just feel better? 🙂
