Lesson Learned: The Smell of Desperation

Just like bees and dogs can smell fear, people can smell desperation. I remember Donald Trump once saying when he lost all his money no one would help him out. Then, after he regained his stature, people couldn’t give him enough free stuff. He regularly received comped hotel rooms, free food and gifts. Now, obviously, he was given these things because he had the potential to be a future customer. But, I think there is also another reason. Just like my 2 month old knows when I am desperate for him to stop crying and instead of calming down, his upset increases. He is mirroring my empty feeling. When you come from a place of lack, everyone can feel it and it sure doesn’t make people want to buy your product or service. The key? Come from a place of abundance. Yes, I know, easier said than done.

    Yes, true on all counts. I am constantly stunned at how my children mirror my emotions back at me. The two older ones less so now, but my 9 year old is intense!!

    You were there for me when I was desperate, and I shall be forever grateful. The panic, the isolation, the presumed certainty of doom…. well, mercifully it passes!!

    PS – Can you believe Donald Trump is actually gonna run for President! Talk about insane!!!

      So sweet Juliet, thank you. I’m am over-the-moon that I could help you! And yes, it’s so crazy that Trump is considering a run, I can only hope it’s a publicity stunt! Well, I guess it is the best thing that could happen to the democrats! ;)!
