Finding Balance. Can you find it? Can anyone? Finding balance is a myth. You can’t find balance anymore than you can stumble upon a leprechaun. This is especially true if you are an entrepreneur. And even more true if you are an entrepreneur who runs your business from your home. If you go looking for balance, it’s not just going to appear under your couch cushions one day. You have to choose it. Vehemently.
Setting clear, resolute boundaries may come easy to some, but I am not among them. I have to first internally figure out what I need, then I have to justify that need to myself and only then I can set a boundary around it. And then I have to fight to keep that boundary. This process can be painstaking. However, the reward is immeasurable. The better the boundaries, the closer you can be to achieving balance. And that’s how you become more balanced, you work for it and you practice it, daily. It does not come overnight, it does not come from fairy dust and it, most definitely, cannot be found.
